The Reef Octopus LR-200 is a perfectly balanced light spectrum for optimal algae growth and nutrient export.
The Reef Octopus Light Reactor is a natural filter that employs macroalgae, such as Chaetomorpha, to absorb and eliminate algae-producing nutrients from your aquarium's water. As the macroalgae grows, it consumes the nutrients present in the water. Once you harvest the macroalgae, the nutrients are removed from your system. This method is an effective way to maintain a healthy and balanced aquatic environment.
Besides being an all-natural approach to filtration, Algae reactors also provide a safe haven for copepods and Anphipods.
The Reef Octopus Light Reactor features a waterproof LED light strip with a unique triangular shape that is certified IP67. This design provides 360-degree coverage to maximize exposure and aid the growth and nutrient consumption of algae. The high-output LED strip is located in close proximity to the macro algae to ensure that it receives as much light as possible, resulting in rapid growth.
